Roll up! Roll up! THIS SATURDAY, May 25, the Bindaring Red Cross Sale at the Claremont Showgrounds turns 50!! It’s the biggest charity jumble sale of the year. It’s prep time at the moment tho, so come on, let’s take an AndAndrea sneak peek inside…
Eeeeek! It’s a giant clothes party! How exciting.
What a mammoth task! Mountains of clothes are kindly donated throughout the year. The volunteer team, then work tirelessly for days on end. They sift and sort the ‘jumble’ of items into baskets, fold shorts and tees into piles and hang the ‘better’ quality items. ‘Jumble’ items are all under $10 and there’s also a special ‘Fill a bag for 50c’ area.
Sue above, has been volunteering for over 20 years.
Early prep in the ‘jumble’ sale area. Looking good.
‘Jumble’ Jeans. All styles and colours.
Some of the donated items, such as these above from Empire Rose, are brand new and will sell for around $20!! Get in quick for these!
Mirrors lined up, ready to be placed in the changerooms. BIG TIP: Wear leggings or gym gear so you can try clothes on ‘over the top’ without needing to line up for a changeroom.
Volunteer, Anna Chandler carefully checks, restores and displays the donated costume jewellery. As a Birthday Special, there are 100 jewellery pouches (above) to be won on the day!
Unique costume jewellery to be sold at bargain prices.
Pick and mix, shoes.
There’s a fabulous Retro rail and…

Ricarda’s AW13 showing at their Subiaco store this week was a feast of fashion! Hundreds of VIP customers sipped on Moet, whilst models casually sauntered through the crowd. It was a class act!
Owner, Ricarda Loecker, worked tirelessly behind the scenes, superbly styling the easy to wear, luxury outfits for him and her. International designer labels such as Isabel Marant, Comme des Garcons, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Australian labels, Josh Goot and bassike (crowd favourite) were showcased.
The cool, slouchy, leather bassike pants above, were a big hit. Josh Goot jacket and top and Camilla Skovgaard boots. Sports Luxe at its best…Ricarda Style!
My date for the Ricarda evening was ‘OshPosh’ Hair Salon owner Carleen Foley. Carleen is the ‘Queen of Cool’ and always nails her outfits!
Bright, colourful and fun were the order of the night for me! Sass & Bide gold jacket, Vintage Versace inspired tee, Camilla and Marc ripped jeans and Shakuhachi boots. Done!
Spotted in the crowd were ‘Beautiful Events’ Director Jacqui Brown and Kate Downie, Alicia Goyder and her mum Diana, Sabina Schlink and Damira Banaszak, and Brenda Loecker who co-ordinated the night.
Isabel Marant’s designs featured strongly. Pictured above, ‘folksy’ dresses, quilted, beaded bombers and embroidered jeans. Love, Love!
Trend Alert: Sports Luxe track pants and sneaker style. Think patterned, baggy and dropped crotch.
Applause for a final walk and a truly fabulous evening at…

If you need a fashion fix and want that relaxed, ‘Boho’ effortlessly chic look, then this is your one stop destination. Styled above, in Nobody boyfriend jeans, Lilya lambswool jacket, Anna Excell silk shirt, Angle Diamond Dot tassel necklaces, Senso booties and Sunday Somewhere shades.
Sara Fox stocks some of the most coveted labels. You’ll find vibrant colours, patterns and prints from Camilla and Marc, Anna Excell, Manning Cartell, Tolani, Nobody Denim, Tluxe, Nicholas, Cameo, Lilya Viktoria + Woods, Senso and and and…!!
Sara (Above L) and Rylee (Above R) make you feel so welcome and offer expert styling advice.
Using the new in, Nobody ‘Beau’ boyfriend jeans as a base, there were so many easy styling options to play around with, such as sandals, a silk tee and a Samoyed!!
Nobody jeans are a MUST try. They’re slouchy, versatile and can be worn scrunched and pushed up with flats, or rolled to sit just above the ankle with heels. Love resident ‘Rosie’ the Samoyed.
Senso heaven! A superb collection of boots in-store. Love, Love, Love the classic, neutral pair above.
A rainbow of colour! Cosabella knickers and bralets are super popular undergarments and make fab little gifts.
Sara’s accessories are divine! They really do finish off an outfit. Think Angle Diamond Dot (Above) as well as Fiorina, seen styled below.
Sara also stocks her own signature label for guys and gals. This blue silk tee above comes in various colours and is exclusive to Sara Fox & Co.
So, you’ve had a teensy taste of what’s in-store. Do pop in for a Sara Fox fashion fix! Happy shopping :)

Get your pink on for Mother’s Day! It’s time to celebrate fabbo mums.
As the sun shone, a sea of excited ‘pink’ mums, grans, aunties, daughters, toddlers, bubs in pink prams and even a few men, laughed and frolicked their way around the Esplanade in Perth, for the Mother’s Day 2013 Classic. It’s an exhilarating, ‘high on life’ thing to do… and it helps to know that all proceeds go towards Breast Cancer Research.
Ready, Set, Go Sisterhood!
Met these leggy Ugg boots!! They belong to…
…this gorgeous mum (who has nearly finished her chemo) and her four beautiful daughters. Made my heart sing.
An ecstatic breast cancer survivor and her proud hubby.
We took time out for happy snaps in my dare to wear ‘HarlequinTulle’ combo!
Awww…Cute! Loved the littlies getting into the spirit.
Found some Pussy Cat boys… meow!
We did it!! Congrats all round to this family! Met gran and daughter survivors (L) and family supporters who all walked together in their sequined ‘bikinis’ with…
…their dads, hubs and sons in their Borat Style pink ‘Man-kinis’. True family support and love.
Time to pause and appreciate…
So grateful I survived breast cancer!

The ‘Sports Luxe’ trend is perfect for Winter. We all love warm, comfy trackies, so let’s ‘test drive’ a few different pairs and dare to wear some AndAndrea kooky trackies as well!
Dropped crotch trackies are definitely ‘dare to wear and smile if they stare’ worthy. Not for everyone, but WILL be seen on the streets this season.
If you like, dress them up with a quilted leather bomber, chunky heels and…
Or, dress them down with thongs and a hip-tied denim jacket. So, you’re ready to give the Sports Luxe look a go?!! It’s easy if you follow the 4 simple steps below.
Step 1: Choose a comfy pair of trackies that YOU like. Such as these drawstring, Bassike trackies above. They come in cropped, 3/4 and full length.
Add a heel or biker boots (Above) as super Sydney Stylist, Jane Frosh from www.facebook.com/CoolEdies has done.
Step 2: Or, go all out and choose a pair of leather trackies. Elastic waist, boyfriend style, slouchy and HOT with boots! A standout look! My picks above, Shakuhachi (Centre) or Friend of Mine (L&R)
Step 3: Add a striped tee in blue, black or navy. Over-sized is preferable! Or, a ‘Team’ tee such as these LPD New York number tees above. Don’t forget to roll the sleeves! Keep a bomber or denim jacket on hand for warmth!
Step 4: Add a pair of Hi-top trainers. Isabel Marant started the world-wise craze. There are more affordable ones around now. Easy…you’re on trend and all set for Winter.
So, see you out on the streets in your Hi-tops, slouchy-striped tee and ‘boyfriend’ style leather pants. Woo Hoo.
Fabby Mother’s Day! Big kisses to all …oh and look out for a hot pink, ’HarlequinTulleStyle’ mumma…if you’re doing the Mother’s Day Classic :) aa xx
